Pantocid Tablet contains Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that helps reduce excess stomach acid production. It is used for the treatment of acid reflux, ulcers, and other acid-related disorders of the stomach and intestines.
🔹 Pantocid 20 mg – Mild to moderate acid-related conditions
🔹 Pantocid 40 mg – Severe acid-related conditions
✅ Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) – Reduces acid reflux, heartburn, and regurgitation.
✅ Peptic Ulcers (Gastric & Duodenal Ulcers) – Aids in healing and prevents recurrence.
✅ Erosive Esophagitis – Prevents damage to the esophagus caused by acid.
✅ Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome – Manages excessive stomach acid production.
✅ Acid Peptic Disorders – Relieves symptoms of indigestion and acidity.
✅ NSAID-Induced Ulcers – Prevents ulcers caused by long-term painkiller use.
⚠️ Do not take if allergic to Pantoprazole or other PPIs.
⚠️ Use with caution in patients with liver disease, osteoporosis, or vitamin B12 deficiency.
⚠️ Long-term use may increase the risk of fractures (hip, spine, wrist fractures in elderly patients).
⚠️ May cause low magnesium levels if used for an extended period.

💊 May reduce absorption of essential vitamins and minerals (calcium, iron, vitamin B12).
💊 Antacids may reduce effectiveness – take them at least 2 hours apart.
