Product Details
As a member of the ‘antidiabetic medicines’ class, Dapnat-M 10/1000 Tablet is mostly used in conjunction with a healthy diet and regular exercise to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. In patients with heart conditions who have type 2 diabetes, Dapnat-M 10/1000 Tablet also reduces the risk of heart failure. High blood sugar levels are a symptom of the metabolic disorder known as diabetes mellitus. It happens when the pancreas, an organ located behind the stomach, produces little to no insulin, or when the hormone insulin, which is produced by the beta cells of the pancreas, is resistant to breaking down glucose to produce energy (insulin resistance). Type 1 diabetes is not a condition for which Dapnat-M 10/1000 Tablet is recommended.

Metformin and dapagliflozin are the two antidiabetic medications that make up Dapnat-M 10/1000 Tablet. Metformin, a member of the biguanide class, controls blood sugar levels, especially in individuals who are obese. Without raising insulin secretion, it has a nonpancreatic action that lowers blood glucose levels. Dapagliflozin is a member of the gliflozin class. By removing extra sugar from the body through urine, it lowers blood sugar levels.

Be sure to take Dapnat-M 10/1000 Tablets as prescribed by your physician. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, weakness, runny nose, vaginal infection, dizziness, taste changes, and sore throat are some of the frequent adverse effects of Dapnat-M 10/1000 Tablet. Dapnat-M 10/1000 Tablets may occasionally result in adverse effects such as diabetic ketoacidosis (excess generation of blood acids (ketones)) and lactic acidosis (a rare but significant metabolic complication of excess lactic acid in the blood induced by metformin buildup). Each person experiences these side effects differently, and not everyone is familiar with them. Please see your doctor if you experience any unmanageable side effects.

Dapnat-M 10/1000 Tablet may cause hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar); hence it advised to take healthy food with enough calories and avoid heavy exercises. Do not take or stop this medicine, if the doctor did not advise you to do so. Before starting Dapnat-M 10/1000 Tablet , let your doctor know if you have any medical history of heart, kidney or liver diseases, breathing problems, blood disorders, dehydration, alcohol use, low blood pressure, and yeast infection of genitals. It is advised to avoid your alcohol intake while using Dapnat-M 10/1000 Tablet to decrease the risk of lactic acidosis. Dapnat-M 10/1000 Tablet is not recommended for use during the second or third trimester of pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Medicinal Benefits
Dapnat-M 10/1000 Tablet, which comprises Dapagliflozin and Metformin, is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. Biguanides like metformin control blood sugar levels, especially in obese people. Without raising insulin secretion, it has a nonpancreatic action that lowers blood glucose levels. Because it intensifies the effects of insulin, it is sometimes referred to as an insulin sensitiser. Because it does not result in hypoglycemia, or decreased blood sugar levels, metformin is regarded as a special antidiabetic medication. Dapagliflozin is a member of the gliflozin class. By removing extra sugar from the body through urine, it lowers blood sugar levels. In patients with heart disease and type 2 diabetes, Dapnat-M 10/1000 Tablet also lowers the risk of heart failure.

Directions for Use
Don’t chew, break, or crush it; instead, swallow it whole with water. Because it decreases blood sugar levels and may produce gastrointestinal side effects, it is best taken with a meal. To attain the necessary blood glucose control, your doctor may begin the course with a low dose and progressively maintain an effective dose.

Before taking Dapnat-M 10/1000 Tablet, tell your doctor about your medical history, including any heart, kidney, or liver diseases, breathing issues (such as asthma or obstructive lung diseases), blood issues like anaemia (lack of blood cells), vitamin B12 deficiency, pancreatic issues or surgery, dehydration, alcohol use, low blood pressure, and yeast infection of the genitalia. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Dapnat-M 10/1000 Tablets since it may raise your chance of developing lactic acidosis. Disease/Condition Glossary
High blood sugar levels are a symptom of diabetes mellitus, sometimes referred to as adult-onset diabetes. It is type 2 diabetes that arises when the pancreas, an organ located behind the stomach, produces little to no insulin or when the hormone insulin, which is produced by the beta cells of the pancreas, is resistant to breaking down glucose to produce energy. This condition primarily affects adults over 40, yet depending on risk factors, it can also strike children. Insulin injections and oral glucose-lowering medications are part of the treatment.
