Dapefy-S 5/50 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes mellitus (also known as non-insulin-dependent diabetes or adult-onset diabetes) is a medical disorder in which blood glucose levels rise above normal due to insulin shortage, resistance, or both.

Dapefy-S 5/50 Tablet includes Dapagliflozin (a sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitor) and Sitagliptin (a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor). Dapagliflozin reduces blood glucose levels and increases glucose excretion in the urine. Sitagliptin reduces the amount of glucose produced by the liver by increasing insulin levels while decreasing glucagon levels (the hormone that elevates blood glucose levels). Thus, Dapefy-S 5/50 Tablet aids in blood sugar regulation.

Dapefy-S 5/50 Tablet may induce diarrhoea, hypoglycemia, headache, nausea, and vomiting. These effects do not require medical treatment and will fade over time. Inform your doctor if any of these adverse effects continue or disturb you. Take Dapefy-S 5/50 Tablet as directed by your doctor.
