Description
With a healthy diet and regular exercise, DAPAGLYN M 1000 TABLETS, which are classified as “antidiabetic drugs,” are mostly used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. In individuals with heart conditions who have type 2 diabetes, DAPAGLYN M 1000 TABLETS also reduces the risk of heart failure. High blood sugar levels are a symptom of the metabolic disorder known as diabetes mellitus. It happens when the pancreas, an organ located behind the stomach, produces little to no insulin, or when the hormone insulin, which is produced by the beta cells of the pancreas, is resistant to breaking down glucose to produce energy (insulin resistance). Type 1 diabetes is not a condition for which DAPAGLYN M 1000 TABLETS are recommended.

DAPAGLYN M 1000 TABLETS is composed of two antidiabetic medicines, namely: Metformin and Dapagliflozin. Metformin belongs to the class of biguanides and manages blood sugar levels, particularly in obese patients. It exhibits a nonpancreatic effect to reduce blood glucose levels without increasing insulin secretion. Dapagliflozin belongs to the class of gliflozins. It works by reducing blood sugar levels by eliminating excess sugars from the body through urine.

Be sure to take DAPAGLYN M 1000 TABLETS as prescribed by your physician. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, weakness, runny nose, vaginal infection, dizziness, taste changes, and sore throat are some of the frequent adverse effects of DAPAGLYN M 1000 TABLETS.

DAPAGLYN M 1000 TABLETS may occasionally result in adverse effects such as diabetic ketoacidosis (excess generation of blood acids (ketones)) and lactic acidosis (a rare but significant metabolic complication of excess lactic acid in the blood induced by metformin buildup). Each person experiences these side effects differently, and not everyone is familiar with them. Please see your doctor if you experience any unmanageable side effects.

Since DAPAGLYN M 1000 TABLETS may result in hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), it is advised to consume a diet rich in calories and to refrain from strenuous exercise. If your doctor has not instructed you to discontinue taking this medication, do not do so. If you have a history of heart, kidney, or liver disease, breathing issues, blood disorders, dehydration,

alcohol usage, low blood pressure, or vaginal yeast infection, inform your doctor before beginning DAPAGLYN M 500 TABLETS.

Medicinal Benefits
Type 2 diabetes is treated with DAPAGLYN M 1000 TABLETS, which include Dapagliflozin and Metformin. Biguanides like metformin control blood sugar levels, especially in obese people. Without raising insulin secretion, it has a nonpancreatic action that lowers blood glucose levels. Because it intensifies the effects of insulin, it is sometimes referred to as an insulin sensitiser. Because it does not result in hypoglycemia, or decreased blood sugar levels, metformin is regarded as a special antidiabetic medication. Dapagliflozin is a member of the gliflozin class.

By removing extra sugar from the body through urine, it lowers blood sugar levels. In patients with heart disease and type 2 diabetes, DAPAGLYN M 1000 TABLETS also lowers the risk of heart failure. To regulate blood sugar levels, DAPAGLYN M 1000 TABLETS may be prescribed with or without other drugs, in addition to diet and exercise.

Directions for Use
Don’t chew, break, or crush it; instead, swallow it whole with water. Because it decreases blood sugar levels and may produce gastrointestinal side effects, it is best taken with a meal. To attain the necessary blood glucose control, your doctor may begin the course with a low dose and progressively maintain an effective dose.

Storage
Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight.

Glossary of Conditions and Diseases

High blood sugar levels are a symptom of diabetes mellitus, sometimes referred to as adult-onset diabetes. It is type 2 diabetes that arises when the pancreas, an organ located behind the stomach, produces little to no insulin or when the hormone insulin, which is produced by the beta cells of the pancreas, is resistant to breaking down glucose to produce energy. This condition primarily affects adults over 40, yet depending on risk factors, it can also strike children. Insulin injections and oral glucose-lowering medications are part of the treatment.
