Cilacar T 10/40 mg Tablet is a member of the anti-hypertensive drug class and is mainly used to treat angina, or chest pain associated with the heart, and hypertension, or high blood pressure. It includes the angiotensin receptor blocker Telmisartan and the calcium channel blocker Cilnidipine. A chronic or lifelong condition known as hypertension causes the push of blood on the walls of arteries to increase to such an extent that heart disease develops. Chest pain brought on by decreased cardiac blood flow is known as angina. Cilnidipine and Telmisartan make up the Cilacar T 10/40 mg Tablet, which is indicated to treat hypertension. Cilnidipine inhibits the actions of calcium channels found in the heart’s blood arteries. As a result, the heart receives more blood and the blood vessels enlarge, which reduces the high blood pressure and the strain on the heart. Telmisartan functions by preventing the action of specific chemicals that cause blood arteries to constrict. It facilitates smoother blood flow and increases the heart’s effectiveness in pumping blood throughout the body. As a result, it lowers the risk of future heart attacks and strokes.
Cilacar T 10/40 mg tablets can be taken with or without food. Drink a glass of water and gulp it whole. Avoid biting, chewing, or breaking it. Depending on your medical condition, your doctor will advise you on how frequently to take your medications. Cilacar T 10/40 mg tablets frequently cause back pain, diarrhoea, a clogged feeling, spinning, and nasal soreness as side effects. The majority of these Cilacar T 10/40 mg Tablet side effects go away with time and don’t need medical intervention. However, consult your physician if the adverse effects are severe.
Cilacar T 10/40 mg Tablets should not be stopped without first seeing your physician. A heart attack, chest pain, and changes in blood pressure and heart rhythm can result from abruptly stopping Cilacar T 10/40 mg tablets. In order to facilitate its gradual absorption and lessen the possibility of an abrupt drop in blood pressure, Cilacar T 10/40 mg Tablets should be taken with food. With a glass of water, swallow the entire tablet. Avoid breaking, chewing, or crushing it.
Patients with congestive heart failure, liver disease, peripheral oedema (hands or legs swelling), cardiogenic shock (when the heart suddenly cannot pump enough blood), recent myocardial infarction (MI), acute unstable angina (chest pain), or severe aortic stenosis (when the heart valves become diseased) should use Cilacar T 10/40 mg Tablet with caution. Regular blood pressure checks can ensure that the Cilacar T 10/40 mg Tablet is functioning properly. In addition, using Cilacar T 10/40 mg tablets over an extended period of time may cause hypotension, or a drop in blood pressure. Therefore, it is advised to check blood pressure every day.
