Product Details

Mmf Tablet is a member of the group of drugs known as “immunosuppressants,” which are intended to stop the body from rejecting a transplanted organ, such as a liver, heart, or kidney. When the recipient’s immune system attacks the transplanted organ because it perceives it as a “foreign object,” transplant rejection takes place. It could result in irreparable harm if treatment is delayed.

Mycophenolate mofetil, which is used to treat organ transplant rejection, is present in Mmf Tablet along with an additional immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory drug. It inhibits T and B lymphocytes (a kind of white blood cell that targets foreign cells) and decreases the development of antibodies (detect and kill foreign cells). In order to prevent the transplanted graft from being rejected, these actions inhibit the immune system.

As directed, take the Mmf Tablet. Depending on your medical state, your doctor will advise you on how frequently to take Mmf Tablet. Diarrhoea, vomiting, a decrease in the number of white blood cells and red blood cells, and infections are among the frequent side effects of Mmf Tablet. If any of these adverse effects worsen or continue, you should speak with your doctor immediately.

If you have an allergy to “mycophenolate mofetil” or any of its constituents, avoid taking Mmf Tablet. Additionally, if you are not using effective contraception and breastfeeding, or if you are pregnant or intend to get pregnant, do not take it. If you are a woman of reproductive potential, make sure you get a pregnancy test before using Mmf Tablet since it might cause birth malformations or congenital disabilities in the unborn child. When taking Mmf Tablet, it is recommended that you use an effective form of contraception. Limit your exposure to sunlight and wear protective gear as it can raise your risk of developing skin cancer. Because it can weaken the immune system, it raises the risk of infections. Never provide sperm or blood without first telling your doctor.

Benefits of Medicine

“Mycophenolate mofetil,” which is a member of the “immunosuppressant” class, is present in Mmf Tablet. Rejection of organ transplants is avoided with its help. By preventing white blood cells, which are in charge of immunological responses, from acting in the body, it lowers immune system activity. Compared to steroids, which have long-term negative consequences, it is recommended.

Warnings About Drugs

Before taking Mmf Tablet, let your doctor know if you have any of the following: a history of digestive issues, such as stomach ulcers; lesch-Nyhan or Kelley-Seegmiller syndrome (conditions caused by a deficiency of the enzyme hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyl-transferase (HGPRT)), any unexpected bruising or bleeding, or if you plan to become pregnant or become pregnant while taking Mmf Tablet. Reduce your sun exposure since Mmf Tablet raises your risk of developing skin cancer.Donating blood should not be done while taking Mmf Tablet or for at least 60 days after stopping the medication. Sperm donation is not advised for men taking Mmf Tablets for at least ninety days after stopping the medication. Please refrain from receiving any live immunisations since they will not be very effective. Because the oral suspension contains aspartame, a sweetener and source of phenylalanine, individuals who have phenylketonuria—a congenital condition or birth defect that results in a reduced metabolism of phenylalanine—should use it with caution.
